Excitement builds as I do copious amounts of laundry in preparation for my big trip from Condé Nast Traveler and Lexus.
I leave for NYC tomorrow (Joe and Jill are accompanying me) where it is bitterly cold. At least I am being picked up in the new Lexus LS. But on Wednesday, after my meeting with the editor at Condé Nast Traveler (a dream come true!), Jill returns to Kentucky to care for her infant daughter, and Joe and I fly a red-eye to exciting Buenos Aires. Did I mention it's the middle of summer there? Packing is certainly a challenge as we need heavy coats and suitable clothes for NYC, but then light weight clothes for chic Buenos Aires and beachwear for time in Uruguay. I always end up packing too much, but I'm determined to have my suitcase as light as possible. We'll see. In the meantime, I have to switch a load of laundry and narrow down my wardrobe a bit more. Girls have it rough sometimes...
So pumped for tomorrow!
